Therapy Services
Therapy Services Department provides a comprehensive range of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services for inpatients.

The objective of the therapy services department is to facilitate and optimise the recovery and restoration of patients' functions in order to enable them toward independence and to maximise their quality of life.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy assists patients whose daily living has been affected by physical, cognitive or mental health conditions. Occupational therapists assess and manage a person's performance in tasks and roles associated with self-care, work, leisure and play.

Using purposeful activities and varied treatment methods, occupational therapists aim to restore the optimum or desired level of functioning in the person's daily life.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy aims to maximise a person's physical and functional abilities after an injury or illness.
Physiotherapists provide assessments and personalised treatment plans for patients. Therapeutic exercises and physical agents are prescribed according to an individual's need in order to achieve the desired goal.
Physiotherapists aim to optimise a patient's recovery and early independence.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapy aims to maximise a person's swallowing and communication abilities after an injury or illness. The speech therapist is involved with the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders arising from:

› Respiratory and other medical conditions
